....though I gotta know... what kind of firepower is it packin>?? I mean I just can't see someone building/having that huge detailed tank... and not having it be able to fire some sort of projectiles from the turret barrel

(at least paintballs, as BBs would be oftly small coming out of that barrel )

What A Tank

Now that's what I call an RC tank. Will you adopt me? LOL. How much time did you spend building it and do you have the plans for it for sale? My wife is going to freek when she sees the pics. Great Job.

It's not mine sadly, the owner spent about 6-8 months to build it and I don't think he's planning to sell it.
However, the biggest commerically produced rc tank is currently 1/4 scale and a 1/4 KingTiger would be around US$16000

That is my friend Dave Shultz. He has many tanks. They run on 26HP engines, basically John Deere riding mower engines. They DO NOT carry weapons, but the main gun on each of his tanks is a water cannon.

Daaaaaaamn, those are nice units. That guy has got some skills.

It would be quite an adventure building something like that. Not to mention actually driving it...

Edit: I found a video of some of Dave's tanks actually running:

http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/da...tz-model-tanks

These tanks are absolutely amazing. If there were nothing in the background of the video to scale them against, you just might be fooled into thinking you were watching some real 1:1 tanks run. The motors don't sound "right", but they still sound really cool as they run. They sound better than a pair of 540 cans for sure.

Yea, Mr. Schultz does have skills - a mech. engineering degree from Weber State in Utah for starters. A fat resume listing about every aerospace contractor in the U.S.

Things like this make me kick myself in the ass for my slacker ways back in high school...
