Claus, how much do you have sand the inside of the fuse so the sections are all smoothed out before you glass the inside? Thanks!

Great looking jet again! I'm glad you're rebuilding it, when a model flies that well...

i'm curious s well. My next project, im thinking of trying this out .
I got to find away to loose some weight on my builds.

Most of mine are smallish and im wondering how much savings id get solid foam versus the removal and adding it back in the weight with glass and resin

the material I use is 49 gram/m˛ As far as I can calculate is it 0.05 oz/ foot˛
The thickness if made on a glass plate is 0.1 mm or 1/50 inch

the rest is now curing..
pictures tomorrow.

Life begins at transition
49g should be close to 1.5oz.

Now you've got me thinking though - 49gsm is only about 0.16oz/sqft (using 30g/oz and 9ft2/m2). Something's wrong here???

Edit: Found it. Some places use oz/sq ft, others use oz/sq yard... I get 3/4oz or 25gram from two different suppliers, but same cloth.
