looking at the damage.

the shells is only 5 mm thick foam with epoxy glass (49 gr./Mē)
it is hard to say how many G's that have been at play here.
But it is a proof that this way of construction do its job well.

PH.D in Scratchbuilding
Sad to see it on video..... again.

We forgot the proper y-cable for the lipo's and had to use the spare. unfortunately the wires are not as thick on the spare and we learned the hard way.

I was considering to land on the pass before but decided to make another full throttle pass and then land afterwards. We landed but not the way it was planned.

I still had to big throws on the ailerons but it was a lot better than on the maiden. It's very easy to handle in the air.

Clausxpf & Team,

Been watching both of these builds from the beginning. The Draken is one of my ultimate dream builds. Sorry to see the Class A mishap. The Misses thought something was wrong, I yelled so loud watching the vid. Hope you get another in the air soon. You guys are my inspiration.

so did the Y harness to the batts melt ? were you using a BEC for the RX? i use a seperate batt for the Rx and servos in all my high powered EDF's...i just think it is a safer way to control the palne.i use a 1100 mah 2s A-123 batt.

it was stupid me that did not get the right Y harnes with me!
That said ... that was last time ever a plane of mine will take the reciever power from the power pack, the most stupid part is i do have a lot of 2 S lipo's around 1000 mAh and bec's that made for that.
the good thing is that i now can concentrate on the 90 mm draken and the cougar.
and get the parts done for the new crusaider fuselage, and some wings for frank40.

Raising from the dust.

I have started to transform my drawings to G-codes now.
I will make one more for 70 mm fan.
using the cnc hot wire cutter.
when it is cut I know how much work there is going into it and how much material, then I can calculate a price for a kit.

as it is at the moment only hand cut it is a little on a Holt
It will come later but with only small money at hand I have to move for the smaller models right now.
And as my skills for cnc cutting improve ... I am close to start the 90 mm or the 110 Draken all over and take advantage of the cnc .

to get rid of overburning

When you hot-wire cut cnc some areas have a tendency to over-burn.
one way to get around it is change a little in the design.

cnc

this is the gear I have borrowed from anton-anton.
It is American made, and it works ok with max. cutting speed at 3mm/ sek.
the G - codes are with normal 1 mm cutting speed.
the wire is 0.15 mm Constantan wire. most cutting is done on 18 volts.
I have 742 mm between towers.
