Yer if you pindrop from 300ft straight down over the LZ and pull up just before you hit the ground. The only planes i'll take there is one's that I don't care to much for. Last time EVERYONE did damage of some sort and the mid air you had ended up in the sea with the loss of ALL your radio gear and airframe. Sorry dude but I'm not for making a sacrifice to the Wind Gods just to fly at the Altar....

Now these sacrifices are demonstrating the necessary "commitment"!

Besides, I got my reciever and battery back, and I have some keepsakes of the occasion in my rafters!

Though where most were landing that day is in fact the worst place to land... after a few more sessions there the landing approach has been worked out, and whilst it's a narrow corridor, if the approach keeps on track it's a doddle.

Sam,
who saves up his best for The Altar.

Sorry man the only wall I know of down the weir faces almost due east/west, unless I'm missing something.

I really don't know what sort of landing approach Gunna is talking about, it sounds like some kind of girly excuse to me...

Flinders works From SSW thru SE at various sites. It can be quite pleasant at 10 knots, and there is always something there at that speed that will work. It's not a slermal site - being coastal.

Cape Schank, The Parlour works in the West.

Now Cairns Bay - aka The Altar works S and SSE, and at 30 knots will deliver an experience that would convert Osama.
