B-58 Hustler Video

Here's the first flight after painting. First video shows the plane close up, and the handlaunch. Second video shows the rest of the flight, and I had to do something special with it, I think it is worth the download....

Congratulations! You now have the only airworthy B-58 in the world mine is in the hanger being modified. I am pleased to know the USAF is once again gaining strength! Please if you have a static photo of your plane I would love to add it to my website http://www.rcmodelmaker.com

That was kinda "strange" but I love it

Good to see it flew nice. It's funny I couldn't really tell it was a profile build.

Frank,

AWESOME !!!!!!

From one who remembers well, the Fail-Safe and Dr. Strangelove movies. And who was lucky enough to see the B-58s in real life.

GREAT job, Olivia; that mach 2 stuff is hard to follow!

Thanks everyone, I was watching strangelove last night getting ready for my maiden, and they had a trailer for failsafe, it just worked out great, I bought Failsafe just for the few seconds of B-58 footage(actually the same footage zoomed in more and more of one plane taking off). I know, I should have a B-52 for the strangelove theme, but for some reason, the B-58 seemed like an appropriate substitute

I sure would have liked to see the 58's fly. I think I was born about 15 years too late to see all the stuff that I really liked flying. F-16's, 18's, 15's, 22's are all great planes, but for some reason, the century series/60's era and X planes just do it for me.

Will there be plans, I would like to build one? Just finished a Mig 25 Foxbat.
I do remember this plane. As I remember it had landing gear problems but was a great flyer with good payload capabilities.

I'd like to post something, but I have a big backlog and no way to easily get it into cad, I need to see if I can scan them through Kinkos or something.

Another question

Frank:
How do you get them originally. Are they blown up from another drawing or are you just doing them by hand? I am up to trying to do them myself. Any help would be appreciated. Just point me in the right direction. Thanks again for your time.

B-58 Information

Because I was part of the design an development team for the B-58 it has a special place in my heart. My equipment was part of the electronic defense system in the third station.

I have several drawings that may help you but they are too big to post here. I will add them to my website at:

http://www.rcmodelmaker.com/index.htm

The website has some stuff now and I will add all the stuff I have in the next couple days.

B58 drawings

Islewis:
Thanks, your B58 is top notch. I am ex-Air Force and also an EE. I always like the B58 but spent more time around F4's, T38's, and KC135's in my time. I checked out your web page and it looks great. Terrible to get old isn't it. I will be looking forward to your drawings.

PS. The Star Spangled Banner is great, thank God for the USA.
