CN's A-4 Doppler Passes with New Jet Screamer

Here is Corsair Nut's A-4 Skyhawk Doppler passes at AEF It has the Big JS motor, HET 6904 fan, 4500 25C 4S battery, 80 amp esc.

Can someone please doppler these passes for rpm's?

Thanks!

Imho, I think the second pass was faster but audio interference was bad. Third pass he was only in WOT for 2.7 seconds before the doppler wave that was recorded so it wasn't at top speed.

there was so much air traffic he was dodging them. He didn't get on the throttle until he was at the end of the runway. There were many other passes much faster, we just didn't get them on video.

Still a good accomplishment because I know how draggy this big airframe can be. I just set my fan inside and she's almost ready to go!!!

One thing I love about my setup is I can changeout motors fairly quicky and I'm using a 70A ESC to start with so I can play around.

Should be fun!!!

On the last pass I got 111.1 mph, and 48,793 rpm. That rpm is respectable, but at 1200 watts? That's a load of power to get that rpm, almost twice of what the average 2w-20 setup runs (650 watts), and only a difference in kv of 3350 (2w-20) to 3900 (Big JS).

Also, it doesn't sound very consistent to the 1200 watts and 56,800 rpm you got w/ 6s (using HET fan), Bob.

it took me 900W in this bird on the 2w 20 to get 43,000 rpm. that was 60A vs the 75A on th ls....15A for 5,000 rpm? 5,000 rpm is a huge jump. it was about 1150W. this motor kicks som major butt.

I will tweak it a bit But overall it hits most of my goals It was pretty much what I was aiming for and the in air performance shows what it can do Now in a sleek Sniper or my F-104 and the WM400 fan on 5S to hit 150+mph Who knows your new F-15 may hit 130 with it
