Finish your plane first then include the electronics, u can always cut the foam out to add servos later. Once I finish mine i will show you all my setup specifications.

Servos are cheap and you can fill the plane with servos before buying a radio.

Hobbycity in HK has great $4 servos. you can get cheap contol horns, clevises, Y-harnesses and servo extensions from them, too.

It's good to have at least one servo handy, so you can properly engineer the mounting and actuation of the servo and control surfaces and run things like control rods to the correct location.

True UNGN is right. Pick up some cheap servos for measuring placement.

what template did u use for the wing sheeting because the curved wing ribs would demand more surface area than the print-out template provides (if that makes sense)

infact where are u buying everything. Im buying everything now because i dont like the idea of cutting it up. too complicated
what is the mah needed of 3s battery??????
and do u need a battery for the motor and a battery for the receiver? or just one?
(pic) how would both sides of the elevator move if only one is attached to the servo?

beginning to sheet

i am using aquadhere (water soluble and dries clear)
i cut the 3 mm depron in 6mm widths (much more effective than you'd think)
it looks better than what it looks like in picture
i will fill cracks with glue and sand, looks great

scale hump

i will also modify the f4 rib/frame for more scale, the previous f4 is quite incorrect and has no proper hump. i designed it myself so use at your own risk (if you want to) ok now i have made the front thinner, i dont care if it effects anything like aerodynamics or balance, it looked so not scale, now its so much better.
i think you all should consider this before you sheet. Here are the pics

looks sooooo 747-400ish!

i guarantee that it looks 1000 times better in real life.
so, what i did was remove f2 and made my cockpit go from f4b to f3 and. the sticking out cockpit bit overlaps the sheeting between f1 and f3. bottom is normal. my radio and receiver just arrived (spektrum dx6 and ar6200), everything else will be a month.

thanks so much brett!

Be very, very careful about range checking with that camera on board! If I'm not mistaken, it's a 2.4Ghz transmitter... that's very likely to give you interference problems. Turn the camera on first, then your RC transmitter, that will give the DX6i a chance to get a free channel. Mount the camera antenna as far from the receiver as you can get it, and range check very carefully.
