I think you should do a 737! No one else has done a 737 and I have been searching for plans since the beginning of time!

Your plane looks really awesome! I like the retracts. Adds to the scale look

I decided it would be better for me to build a dc-10 and have only one edf due to my parent's budget cuts

So I started it, but then suddenly went to India for vacation and then came and now I have 7 AP classes in one year and school work is really taking time. lol. might not be flying until the summer.

But would love to have plans for a 737 in hand and ready.

I'm working on A380 plans at the moment. This will be my new project. Scale 1:25-wingspan 3.2metres with 2x90mm Fans.

Brett1984 be careful with your plastic retracts. I had some on my E-Flite P47 and they didn't last very long. The P47 weighed only 700grams. If your retracts fail on landing or take off you will damage your ducted fans.

BTW Brett1984 what part of the world are your from?

hi koziflyer, im from the uk in the midlands, thats nice work on the a380, i wanted to build one from scratch too, been lokking for cad plans for a bit now all i can find is a top view of the a380, showing the wing span.
where did you get that drawing from if you dont mind me asking? is it you own made drawing???

these retracts are from hobbycity and feel strong only time will tell if they will hold up,

when are you going to start building your a380?

hi teha99, i downloaded the 737 of the boeing website, its the airport planning page, i chose the 737-500 it looked the one with the most wing area. heres a pic, just a few minutes of planning where formers will go then the task of drawing the formers.

length & span are around 60 inches, the nachels are big enough for 76mm edf fans and still be made scale, so you could put gws75 edfs with ease, what do you think?

Awesome!, That was a few minutes of planning? when plans are available I might scale it down a little because it would be hard to hand toss a 60in model. (my field is grass).

The 500 is also my favorite, the fuse is not too long and not too short. Thanks for considering my opinion!

hi teja, what size would you like the wing span??? when ive finished i'll scale it in cad for you, ive done a bit more ive added the 3mm depron skin to the drawing, i will start on the formers later.

i like large models well it not too large anyway, airliners dont have much wing area so a bit bigger i.e 60 inches should fly better and land better than a small 30'' plane, well thats how i see it

747-400 & 737-500

hi guys decided to start back on the 747 today, got a bit more sheeting done and started on the tail and rudder, im building in a lighting system which i got of hobby city, well im using 2 of these sets in the model, 1 sets in the wings and the other will be in the fuselage.

the lighting system im using

as requested ive started to design a 737-500 from the boeing plans, just a bit of time getting the plan to the correct scale and after a bit of head scratching converting units in cad from inches to mm. took me a bit to figure out, you out there that use cad should no about this.

here a snap shot of the screen, will post pics of the 747 tomorrow.

That 737 would be great... but a A380 also... i think it will be hard to choose

I am also thinking of not just a normal airliner : Tupolev Tu-154M

But that will be for future plans ... first let me get the 747 airborne...
Problem here (netherlands) is the weather at the moment... Rain.. rain... much wind... rain... not really good flying conditions.

Kozi can you send me a picture of your tail (elevator). How did you get that strong enough ? My only concern at this plane still is the elevator part. (not really strong on 2nd elevator - the one without servomount)

Well I was kind of thinking about a 30-40 inch wingspan, but maybe I should go for bigger. There is not much of a price difference is there? I was going to maybe edf50 or edf55 and have the nacelles still scale. what WS would that be?

Thanks again for taking an interest. I really appreciate it.

I am running 1 servo for each elevator. So 2 servos for the elevator. The rudder control is a bit dodgy but I never use rudder anyways.
