Geeez Tony. Reminds me of two tours in Vietnam and a one week business trip to Kuwait that lasted 3 months..........but that's another story. I know you will hate me for this Mississippi Eskimo, but we are firing up the fireplace on the Gulf Coast tonight as it's supposed to get all the way down to 50 degrees tomorrow.

Santa brought me the next to the last thing I needed for my Century E-Hawk SE II conversion project .........Fred Bronks' motor mount and pinion adapter were delivered today by USPS. Thanks Fred!
Now if i can just get Radar O'Reilly off his duff in Ottumwa, IA at batterystations.com maybe I'll even get the six - ten cell packs of the new 2600mah NiMh Sanyo's everyone is hot for.
Tony, I don't know how you do it up there but I bet the $$$$$$ are real good. Next time you are in the vicinity of the Gulf Coast give me a shout and we'll go for a good seafood dinner and a trip to the Casino's. This Christmas eve was spent driving my BL Corona and fbless Hornet around the pool in the back yard until the light level was so low we had to call it quits. Ahhhhhhh life is good! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Tony

Santa informs me my Orbit V6 with PC Interface, software and some leads with a test battery pack or two is on BACKORDER!
WHANNNAAAAA!
As for work, I know, I know! I am on-call 24x3 (Xmas eve, Xmas, day after) for computer maintainance and support - since some stores will be open - guess who will get the calls! I do get Friday-Monday off, but have to be in the office the 1st. It used to be worse - I was 24x7 with no backup. Now I have 1 designated backup person. So things are lookng a little better.

One guess why I am up at this hour?
At Least while waiting for jobs to run, I can read Ezone and work on my latest project (BlueCor SC version of the JSF).
Or read MA (in the mail today) - think I will save that for when it gets REALLY boring around here (like 3am and the jobs are STILL running). I hate mainframes.

hey

well its about 10 below up here and I just got through flying my F1-60 E around , man , I sure like the bigger helis , I was whipping that thing around like it was my voyager , crop (DUSTING) the gym floor here at work , man what a thrill flying a big bird like that in the gym ,
we have about 300 people working here at this open pit mine and I work in the mill , they blow the ground up on the mountain and bring the rock to the mill . this place is the biggest and richest zinc and lead in the world , 21% of the rock is zinc and lead . mostly zinc though . And Boyd , here I use to work as a pipe welder in construction and now I tripple that wage now , moneys good . well great ! but working 2/3 away from home has a big price here , and 1/3 at home . sucks ! 80.5 hours a week , so its nice to get off work and work on my helis without the wife complaining . if you know what I mean . all my helis are here at work . we live in a (kinda hotel like place ) with our on rooms . internet , best cable satelite you can find . and free food . tonight we had Steak and crab leggs . so thats not bad . I do miss Ms though . I could fly damn neer all year around out side . Here 5 months and 32 of those months are right at 30 degrees , with a high in the summer of 65 , and 1 to 5 days of 70 degrees F . yeh , when I do come down I will let yall know .
Bernard , I here you bud . but you did get something . Oh I forgot I did get something for christmas , I ordered 2 16 cell 2600s for my F1-60 the other day , I sure dont like that about the 60 size , 32 cells is alot of cash .

misskimo, just one more thing...Did they throw in beer with those steaks and crab leggs ? I have been known to eat 15 lbs (of crab leggs) at one sitting. Was it buffet? Does your company need a good hand? Keep me posted!

Orbit Pro with PC interface!

Works great. Very fast charger. The batteries are nearly cool right off charge in less time with more MHa.

Thanks Santa!!

I hear that Dave at www.radicalrc.com had both models in stock.

I would recommend the Pro. It hit 7.4 amps on a 7x2400 pack which is about 3C. I know it's more $$ but it will be the last charger you will buy for a long long time.

Drat! Drat! Drat!
Dave is the one with my backorder for a Orbit V6.
Said he is expecting some this week (this was Monday?).
Hope he got them.
I did not get the PRO because its min charge rate (as per specs) is 100mA - I wanted to get as low as 50mA. On NiCD the regular can do 6A which is 2C for my large 12 cell NiMH (too much), and 2.5C for my large NiCd (12 cells). On lithium it can do 3A, and charge up to 9 series connected cells. 3A is 1C for the big Kokam's (unless the 7.5A every come out).
I currently use a Dymond Smart Charger and love it (despite it's shaky buttons). Still have the old Hitec CG-320 but it gets little use except when bulk charging small packs.

www.battlepacks.com (had 1 Pro and ? v6).

www.greathobbies.com had several v6 and 1 Pro before Christmas with same pricing on the v6 and better pricing on the Pro w/ PC interface ($264 delivered). I just wanted to buy in the US this time.

Good luck, great charger so far.
