Who knows indeed! The Hobby People price (allegedly with retracts) is $30 more for the Mosquito than for the BH Mohawk. The Ripmax price difference is £30, which one would expect would cover the retracts - surely the Mohawk is of similar size and complexity, so how else could the extra be justified? Anyway, we shall wait and see.

Having seen the Mossie in Nurnberg and asked about it, i can tell you for sure that the UK version is retract ready and not supplied with them. I was told that quite a few modifications have been made since the prototype. The wing dihedral was changed from flat to 3 degrees like the original, the hatch has been modified to be bigger, the battery now locates through a removable nose cone (magnets), there are two crew members, new spinners and the colour scheme has been 'tweaked'. The video on the stand showed a prototype and it flew really well.
Yes, there is a new Black Horse B-25 as well! Same power and general size as the Mossie. It too will be 'retract ready' and doing that has delayed the launch a little. It looks superb and very scale. Retracts - I think lessons were learnt from the Mohawk! |

Thanks for the info, Tiffie. Looking ahead to kitting one out, does anyone know of suitable rearward retracting U/C at a reasonable price? I've had previous experience of using "normal" retracts turned through 90 degrees, but as they are not designed to take load in this direction, the "lock down" mechanism is broken by a heavy landing. That's why I was hoping the Mossie would come with a pair of pupose designed jobs.
