It was just a practice, not a contest so no scores were recorded. Most were mid 40's.

The best description I've seen is on the F5B-UK site.

http://www.f5b.co.uk/?q=node/77

Still, words just don't do it justice -- it's the type of thing you really need to see in person to appreciate.

What Lenny said is spot on; needs to be seen in person.

I think this is a great intro video for capturing an F5B event, a nice description hoe it works and what it consists of.

2009 / FAI European Championships for Electric Model Aircraft (4 min 20 sec)

Enjoy,

Cool, that gave me a little understanding. Hopefully I will be able to find an F5B contest in Texas sometime soon.

Sweet transmitters.

Next practice is when? I've lost track of our schedule (and my time zone).

Thanks Lenny. If anyone else wants to do one sooner, I'm in and free. Probably won't be able to make the 19th as it stands now. Thanks, Eric

Sweet transmitters.
It helps to check out a practice... being that you are in texas, you have endless inexpensive Southwest opportunities to make it to sd for the day. There are some who drive from Los Angeles, some who fly in from SF or nevada, and most daring, some so dedicated, that they drive from Colorado...

They always welcome help at base B to buzz each time a plane crosses the plane. Great pics earlier in the thread (especially these LINK). Attending and not flying is still a kick in the pants... even after watching turbines every weekend at my local site, going to sd on practice is like attending F1 after watching go-karts

Well I am off work for the summer. My lady and I are lways looking for a weekend trip. I have never been to Southern California, so that would be cool. I like the music scene there too. Maybe I can kill two birds.

Any big f5B events in July?

2012 US F5B Team Selection Contest Announcement Posted...

...in Contest Announcements Forum. Contest dates are Sept. 24 and 25, 2011 with equipment inspection Sept. 23rd. Announcement content should be not news to the usual suspects but belongs in writing.

Yes, it's still on Don. Come on out and check it out.

Maybe you can get that Enigma finished up in time!
