Where to get Foam for Scratch Building ??

I just bought a 4X8 sheet of 1/2" pink foam from Home Depot. Where can I get some thicker sheets?? I can glue the 1/2" stuff together for thicker sections but thicker stock would be better.

Thanks
Ray

It is a shame you don't live in the north east. The Home Depots here have up to 1.5 inch sheets for ~$10.

Ray,
Go back to Home Depot and ask for the 3.5
inch thick stuff. I just bought a
4'X8'X3.5" sheet last week from Home Depot
for $21. Lowes had it too, but no one
seemed interested in getting it down from
the top shelf. Paul

From the posts we've seen here on Ezone it appears that the Home Depot's & similiar store in the southern states don't carry the thicker foam. Here in the Chicago area we can get 2-3 " stuff.

I tried to buy a few sheets from Home Depot, But the said their minimun order for 2" was $1500.00 dollars worth. All they carry regularly is the 1".

As you are finding out, foam availibility in the large hardware stores varies by the climate of the area.
Architectural foam is a reliable source.
Blue foam is used to form shapes that builders apply stucco over.
Look in the yellow pages for foam.
