John,
I hope the guys at Hangar 9 are seeing the quality you are putting into the Eflite birds. I would love to see the Corsairs, P-40, or any H9 future releases done with the hidden controls and other attention to detail you are showing. Can you imagine seeing the Beaver in 1/4 scale on the newly released 1/4 scale detail floats? That would be a site to see!

Actually those floats would look pretty silly under a 1/4 scale Beaver. A J3 Cub uses 1360-1600 EDO floats, give or take A Beaver needs much larger floats, in the 4500-6000 lb. class. I agree though, a 1/4 scale Beaver on floats would be fabulous.

68" on this bird and 48 feet on the full scale. That makes it somewhere around 1:8.5

You guys are busting me up. Correct on the scale, I was shooting for a 1/8.5 +/- a small bit.

As for the N905JR, thats a good one. Yep it does stand for me. Boss prefers regular "N" numbers over Canadian ones. Don't know why, so we changed them. Figured not many of you would be attending Top Gun with this one any time soon. Now lets see if you can figure out what the 905 stands for. This will be interesting.

I could stand a trip to Florida, I'll check with the boss tomorrow and see what he says.

John,

Give your boss a big raspberry from a Canadian!

And give him a double raspberry for not offering the AT-6 in yellow so that we don't have to strip/paint it for an RCAF Commonweatlh Air Training program bird.... which is how most of the people outside the US of A will remember them.

Other than that, keep up the good work! The new birds are amazing... I just wish I had room for more in the hangar!

*edit* As an afterthought - why not offer the planes unlettered, with the registration letters as iron-on/stick on decals, so we can customize our birds a bit, so they don't look like everyone else's?

Good idea squid. Let us put the registration numbers on. My old 1940 T Craft was N27558. I would love to have that number on my model. Give us a few sheets of numbers to do it ourselves, or consider selling a few uncovered models so we can really personalize them. Tom

I'm glad it's not the release date.

John, if you need me to be your new boss, just shoot me an application. I love working on my tugboat, but I'd leave it in a second and not have a second thought. It's a love/hate relationship here.

Squid bait,

I understand your pain and will say I learned from the AT-6 program. Couldn't do anything on this one, but future birds will incorporate better ideas. That is all I have to say about that.

Tram set the nail with the correct analogy of the date, and then Steve 1814 drove it home!!! Good job, I started with E-flite on September 5, 2005. Left the world of JetCat USA for this new world. Man life was easier int eh jet/UAV world I will say. Drove 70 miles to work each way, and still had more time for life.

But I love it and thigns are great in the Midwest. Got to experience some nice 60 degree weather in the middle of january yesterday (reminded me of Southern California)!!

John
