Pete, do you have any photos or video of your bird with those vq floats?
Thx,

Next time I put them on I will take pics--should have done that already. I think they look pretty good on the plane. No video, I have never joined the video crowd, I don't even have a phone that will do video

I bought them from Hobby People on the 4th of July sale, I think. May not have been 4 July, may have been Memorial Day, but it was definitely Hobby People and they were on sale, got them for $69...Pete M

Nice price Pete. Is that a European store? Looks like it might be in Finland? maybe, if I'm looking at the right site. Are yours the .40 size?

All the VQ info you could ever want (except where to find the silver ones in stock). Blue Dolphin floats are in stock

Thanks a lot Josh. Don't know if I have the nerve to put it on floats yet, but I would like to get a set for it.

Here's 2 more photo's. One from 3/4 front showing the lateral bracing of the floats and the 2nd from pretty well directly side on. In my opinion, it shows that the E-Flite floats are a little on the short size, when scaled down.

Note twin rudders on the floats.

Glad that these photo's have been useful to someone else.

P.S. The sound of the P&W Wasp Junior was sweet music to my ears.

Depends on your prop. What are you running?

Depends on what you want. The kv of that motor (1000kv) is a bit higher than the power 32 (770kv), but it looks like it'll work just fine.
From the Castle Creations Flight Calculator (http://www.ecalc.ch/motorcalc_e.htm?castle):
On 4s 3300mAh 30C, you could run a 11x5.5 and get 45A, 575w, 91oz thrust, 62mph pitch speed.
On 3s 3300mAh 30C, you could run a 13x6.5 and get 48A, 440w, 85oz thrust, 50mph pitch speed.
On 3s 3300mAh 30C, you could run a 12x6x3 and get 46A, 425w, 81oz thrust, 47mph pitch speed.

I'd suggest either of the 3s setups with a 3000-4000mAh batt (or two 1800-2200mAh 3s batts wired together in parallel).

I have a setup similar to the last one (it's in my avatar), and the performance on 3s is great, and I love the scale 3-blade look.
My setup is: Eflite Power 32, Eflite 60A esc, MAS 12x8x3 prop on 3s 4400mAh (2x2200 batts) or APC 13x6.5 on 4s 4400 (2x2200 batts).

You don't have a power 32, but if you did the answer would be yes.
