Thanx Juan for sharing this beautiful vid - two graceful landings too!! Wish we had some of your good weather here. It's gale force with yellow warning from Met office today.... well it can't last for ever...our day will come...

Cheers

Got one flight on the Beaver with the floats this week end

We have a small farm pond at our flying site with no wind it takes most of the pond for take off. However we had about 15mph+ and take off was no problem. Point it into the wind hold full up power up clear the prop wash neutral elevator and off the water in just a few feet.

Landing just like a bush plane, full flap hold power to clear the end of the pond and set it down. The only scary part was turning on the pond, had to be very carfull to not get cart wheeled by the cross wind on taxi back.

couple of short flights just to say I did and packed it in.

Why you swing so hard?

It's almost mid-January and still no snow! I'd like to ditch the floats and try this baby out on skis and of course, with video

Live in Nevada City and in November we scheduled a sno fly for January. does not look good. If the snow is soft the floats work well but ski's are more realistic.

Snow and water are fun.

What global warming, I am off to another 60+ degree day of flying, and yes the Beaver on floats will be there.

+57F here in Az (vacation) but too squally for Flying. Went to field around 8.30 because it was not too bad in town. Nope, not risking planes with marginal repair facilities I have here.

I take then that your normal weather in winter is + 20 - +15 oF ?????
Ignore "Global Warming" at your own (and future generation's) peril dude.

We're lead to believe "There is no ozone hole but just a big hole in some people's imagination/ brain"....And now I wonder who has the last laugh....
