Video

My neighbor took the video, so I'm waiting for him to download it for me.
Some camera he got for 50 bucks. The images make you think you're looking at an old Hearst newsreel. In a weird sort of way, it's kinda cool.
I love reviewing these films and critiquing my flights. I noted, believe this or not, I got 7 t/o and landings with that truerc 3250 15c.$80.00.
Granted, I was pretty much taking off circling around and landing again, but dang this battery did wonderfully.
I've decided I like that one better than my 4000 10c.also $80.00.
If these trurc only last 1/2 as long as a TP, then Im even.
If longer, well Good for me.

I like the twin Otter idea better though.

You can't beat two guardian Otters.

Ed
Ed: KMP is coming out with an EP twin otter shortly... I beleive they had it scheduled for sometime this month

Turbo Otter?

Twin Otter not my cup of tea. Now, according to a video I watched on Nat'l Geographic channel, North American bush pilots agree that the best bush plane extant is the Turbo Otter. I could go for one of those.

The 15c 3200 (didn't see a 3250) is 64A burst, only 4A more than the 10c 4000 (4K) but it's 8A more continuous (don't need it). On the plus side it weighs a little less than the 4K. Still, it's less capacity. Can't get the 4K now anyway. They're saying late May.

Thanks, Guys.....
My flying buddy, Matt, takes some very nice video and I like to "play" with Roxio Videowave. He films mine and I his so it works out great. I also maintain the club web site. Thought I would try posting on YouTube to get a bit more quality as I only post low density video on our web site.

Lots of great float flying videos as that is my favorite part of the hobby. May put floats on this one some day but have quite a few waterplanes at the moment.
Take a look: http://www.modelaviators.org

Naval W, yep some good cross wind on those head in approaches but fun!

And, yes, get those planes finished so we can see more!!

I would download your video but I only have dial-up here (too expensive) so I just have to do without viewing the attached videos. sniff.

I stand corrected Charlie.I checked & it is but 3200.
I'll use the 4k for flying around, and the 3200 for the t/o landings and T&G.
It's only 2nd run on the 4k, so I'm hoping for longer out of it soon. The 3200 has shaped up nicely, so hopefully the 4k will follow suit.Still cant beat the price can ya?

Moogly,
You are correct about the flaps in the video. Didn't use them at all. I have used them a lot at other times. Mainly for some slow flybys to test and landings. I like to try different landings. Dead stick, etc. It just happened that on the flight Matt took the video, I didn't. But they do work great!

Okay, a few dumb flap servo questions. Do I do exactly what the manuel says and make two IDENTICAL flap covers with the same servo positioning? Or do I flip the second cover so the servo arm is on the far side of the cover vs the near side like on the first one? Second, I do use a Y-harness for the flaps right? I don't really recall what the minor issue was regarding the flap servos some 70 pages back.

Thanks,
Chris
