The pointie thing on the front of the jib is a fishing weight? Looks the tip of a bullet on metal shaft. Any idea of the weight he used?

OK, so I am not a fisherman. So now I have to get lead poisoning to make a jib weight? Sanding lead? There's a plan.

Is there any way to learn the amount of the weight Dennis used? Crash how much does a "run of the mill" plastic worm weight weigh?

I'll just ask "Bubba" at the fishin' place.

Thank you

Yep, it's a fishing weight. The last time I went to my Bass Pro Shop, looking for weights to counter balance my jib, I was somewhat overwhelmed at the different shapes of weights. The "pointy" ones are "Worm Weights"

Bass Pro Shop - weights (hope the link works)

If you really want to go all out, you can get tungsten weights, instead of lead, or brass.

2 cents worth --- here in central 'bama, where bass fishing is second only to college football, worm weights come in various colors, sizes, shapes --ANDDDDD, tungsten !!!!

plastic worms have a tendency to float when bass fishing so can be made to slip on fishing line, attached w/toothpick to prevent line from slipping, or tied somewhere above the worm to allow bait to float above bottom. Fish don't lik'em, but fishermen do
