When I went sailing last Thursday, it was 26 degrees.
Today it was 4 degrees! Did some drywalling downstairs. Going down to minus 8 tonight.

Tomorrow 5 degrees, guess I'll do some Burgy wiring.
Can you solder in 5 degree temperature/weather?

Wednesday looks better, but I have to work Wednesdays, natch.

Crazy weather, never seen anything like it.

So much for "Global Warming"! Seems to me it's been more like "Global Colding"

Needing some help!

Anyone had any experience good or bad with Krylon Fusion paint or Dupli-color acrylic enamel or acrylic lacquer? In painting my Seawind, I mistakenly mixed enamel and lacquer (Dupli-color) and I am having to start over.

Do I have to sand down to raw plastic or can I apply adhesion promoter to roughed up paint or does it need to go on raw plastic? Should I just apply sandable primer and move on?

What is my best option at this point?

John,

He is the first source I went to and has been a huge help on not only this but other projects.

I was just throwing it out to see if others had any other experience.

great minds think alike and go to the same source.

After two days of sanding this d*&% thing, I am finally down to bare hull on about 75% of it.

I have gone from 220 to 340 and still have some base white and sandable to get off.

I will say one thing I have learned from all this. When everyone says put a light coat on, put a light coat on. I have went a little, OK a Lot, heavy on the base white and it is taking forever to get off.

We live and learn.

I don't you killed the thread Pappy, I think most are hopefully out sailing or unfortunately working.

Heading out to a plant for the rest of the night to do some training.

Back at it tomorrow.
