It really depends on how the user will program the plane. I would put the majority of the elevator control on the canards which must function opposite of normal elevator. I would then probably provide a small amount of elevon mixing for elevator on the ailerons. I would not think you would need much elevator action on the ailerons as those canards look quite large and should provide a lot of control as is. Elevator on the ailerons would be mixed like standard elevators.

the Multiplex Twister got almost the same Specification (and he's made of Elapor, a foam like EPP or EPO ) :

and in this video, the MPX Twister flies almost better than th J10...

That one with the blue paint sounded like it was about to explode trying to stay airborne. While the all grey one sounded like it had no problems at all and seemed faster with alot less noise. Is it just me?

What is the kV of the GWBLM009 BL2815-2 (white).

The quoted figure of 30 Amps for the GWBLM009 BL2815-2 (red) agrees with my preliminary test data of 30 amps at 31,600 RPM when the old style four bladed EDF-75 fan was used.

When do you expect to send EB kits out? Are you sending to Taiwan first to keep EMS costs down?

Hi Ken, skyhwak & Pat,

EB kits will be shipped out from GWS China directly. My colleagues are further testing the new batch of the motor, same BL2815-2 (red). I've been told that the new BL2815-2 (red) could power EDF75 better, generate more thrust but less Amps drawn. All J-10 kits will be with this new motor and the upgraded impeller/rotor.

The video two J-10's were all powered by the motor of the first batch one + 3S 11.1V 25C 2000 mAH Lipo pack. The motor was the same as EB A-4 ones. The EDF rotors were the old orange ones.

Ken, yours was the same from the first batch one, still with red shrunk tube. Their KV value were between 3700 - 3800.

Goody! Better is always, of course, better! . Can I use 4S if I add a heat sink with some extra slots ground on the sides of the stator/motor shroud to provide additional cooling for the motor?

[EDIT] Btw, you did not answer when they are scheduled to be shipped out. I hope we get them long before your ship arrives at the US shores. Otherwise, it sorta defeat the purpose of being early birds, doesn't it?

It'd be much much better to use 3S Lipo with this motor when powering EDF75. My colleagues at GWS China will try to ship out EB kits earlier.

I measured a kV of 3711 on the sample you sent to me. I am still waiting on a 2250 mAh 25 C battery pack and a 40 Amp ESC to continue testing. The Christmas break has caused mail delays.

I have run this motor using a 7 x 3.5 three blade propeller and two cells but my 25 Amp ESC goes into protection mode shut down at around 27 Amps.

Yep, I was thinking maybe we should compare the J10 with the Wright Flyer too, while we're doing these
similar comparisons.
