TeamWoody,
I agree, keeping it simple is good, i like your setup, the LRS when you get it should be awsome.

Guys,
have a look at this photo and weep, hehe.

After 2 weeks of many botched fpv attempts with all four of us, we finally acheived a full FPV x 4 summits day !

For 2 weeks, many attempts failed because of many reasons.
These guys being new to this, kept forgeting little things like.....
1/ Bring the remote control with you
2/ Bring your lipos with you
3/ bring your goggles with you
4/ bring your connectors with you
5/ charge your batteries before leaving home
6/ etc......
All pretty funny stuff, but thankfully, we got there in the end.

It was simply fantastic doing FPV exploration with a group of others, the best fun ever.

I got another new recruit again !, hehe
He will be FPV Summit number 5.
His Summit is on my bench being kitted out now.

Just sharing the love, lol

Stylish,

Make sure the 9CAP is 72 mHz and not 2.4Ghz. The 9CAP should work fine for ranges around 2 or 3 km. More than that and you may need one of the UHF or 36 mHz radios. The 149 series of Rx for the Futaba's are also note worthy here for FPV.

I am using the Futaba 7c with a booster strapped to the back of supporting a larger 2.4 5dbi whip antenna. For fpv i use 900mhz with a 8dbi Yagi. Most of this from Range Video. You can get a Futaba 6ch 2.4 from Hobby City right now for cheap cheap... Like a budgie
Have all the electrics in the car now, waiting for ESC, have a 6turn motor from HV Novak and conversion kit from Novak too. Excited to get it going !!

And I received my Rockslide SR10

I paid he same price for my first FPV car in 1996, my first one was so cheap, I discard everything finally, keeping only the frame... It's amazing how the quality had augment. It's much more fun today

Here you can look at my webpage, this first FPV car had changed severals time of look.

Nice one!
Double motor grunt, make sure you cap those or youll be looking at static when you hit that throttle.

Im still half tempted to get that cheep strada clone, but im not sure.
I think I can forget about finding a remotely lockable differential for a more human price.
I wonder if I can just lock the diff manually on the reely truck though, how does the diff look on your strada?
Ive asked a friend, only downside to highspeed diff lock driving is it might slip in tight corners a little.

With the right lipo and gears you will have a 70+mph fpv machine.
