It's a heli valotta fun!

Well... I got it figured out. I thought that my right piro was non-existent. I would give it full right stick and the heli would slowly rotate. I was getting disheartened. So I decided to deal with the tail wag due to the gyro gain being too high. Lo and behold... when I decreased the gain to where the tail no longer wagged, the right piro got all fixed!! So I guess the gyro was fighting the rudder?? Anyways... it's working great now. I also tuned down my throttle curve because that Arc-130 motor was getting me into a hover at like 1/4 stick! Gotta love it.

Looks like your tail snaps about like mine.
Once it gets warm.. I'll grab a 130

What main blades do you run?

The blades are a pair of 9* woodies that I actually picked up a few months ago from here: http://www.cy-model.com/product_info...roducts_id=377
They look exactly the same as the woodies that come with the kit.

Jon
I have the battery almost all the way back in the battery tray and the CG works out perfect.

The flat-bottom wooden blades give the Compy FP a higher headspeed than the HBFP and so it is much more stable. Here is the motor I am using:

The only real issue I have with the Compy is that the right piro is really very weak. I had to drop my right rudder servo throw to 50% or else the servo would buzz. I just took it outside for a quick flight and the right piro is more like a slow turn. I guess I should try to find a tail shaft with less teeth.

That would be a 3week delivery time here in the US.. but thankfully you can buy the blades in the US.
I don't crash like I used to.. so 1 pair lasts me these days though..
