19.6 Kms ( 12.17 miles) VIDEO TEST

Yesteday we did another Video test.

TX: 1 W Lawmate in a Easystar FPV over the airfield with his pilot ( me )

RX test: Was 19,6 kms ( 12.17 miles ) from the airfield. In the midle of the city. It was in a friendīs house.

Antenna Rx: 14 Dbi Hyperlink

The video signal becomes to appears when the airplane was over 160 mts height ( there are hills between the field and the house ).

The signal quality was the same than the 10 miles ( 16 kms ) test and very similar than the 8 miles Jettpilot test.
The max antena movement tolerated was 10š without lose the signal.

So, we know that we have video signal 20 kms and beyond....

perhaps but a beam of 10 deg is very narrow, it will be hard to kept the antenna oriented correctly. Do you think you would still receive a picture with a 8dbi patch?

Keeping the antenna pointed to within 10 degrees is actaully very easy at that distance. When the plane is that far away, it has to move very far to get out of the 10 degree beam, so adjustments are small and not needed that often at long range.

Good to see you still testing long range Sergio, no nos vas a ensenar el video ?
