I plan on picking one up Dean. I can probably do the Cobra field gig, short trip from Bellevue. I work Wednesdays though, again, lol. That's why you haven't seen me out at the soccer place.

I just ordered my SE5a today. I've got the Jenny and have been flying it indoors for the past couple weeks. Having both of these good looking planes just seems natural . With all this ice/rain/snow crap we have been getting, there is no way to fly outside.

I'll snag mine at the LHS, same price as on line minus shipping for planes anyway. They don't sell any of the motors I use but I think I have one for it already. One of these should work well for it and I already have them.

This is what I used for the Jenny. I'll use the same exact stuff on the SE5a

I have one on the way also. Hopefully it will be here Friday.

Greg D, I am using the Ele C20 1500kv motor on my Jenny with a GWS 8x4HD and an E-flite 800mAh 2s. I want to try a different prop...maybe an 8x6HD or a SF prop to see if it has more thrust.

Isn't the 8x4 enough or are just looking for more?

The 8x4 moves it around nicely. It takes off in just a few feet and will penetrate a mild wind OK. I haven't been able to get a good loop out of it...so I am thinking that just a little more thrust would get it over the top. My Jenny my be a bit on the heavy side with my added wheels and the 1.5+ oz battery...indoors with the lighter wheels and a smaller battery it may do a loop just fine.

Cool, thanks. I agree that it would be good if it could pull off a loop. The TM it will replace would do them. Also just wouldn't quite be a WW I fighter without some mild aerobatic capability.

Just received 2 SE5a's and will use the 250 as I did on the Jenny. Found the GWS 7 X 3.5 HD perfect for motor! See my flight Vids of the Jenny using that prop on my website. www.boomerseflight.com Also pics and description.

If the LHS has it yet I may pick mine up this weekend. I'll still need an ESC and a battery pack for it (have RX & servos) unless I can prop it to use the 640 mah 3s I have laying around & it will fit in the plane.
