Just a reminder that next Saturday we’re having one of two Fly ‘n Swap events for the year. As of today, the wind forecast doesn’t look promising, but this is an opportunity to do some spring cleaning by bringing your unwanted sailplanes out of your garages, closets, rafters, or where ever. There’s no particular type of plane to fly for this event, but just a time to sell, buy, or trade these gems and a great opportunity get these unused birds back in the air where they belong.

If you haven’t done so already, please sign all your waivers at the glider shack. They now have a QR code at the front desk that you’ll scan with your phone, and you’ll sign everything through your phone. You’ll get an email confirmation while you’re there, and you’re done; easy peasy! If we do fly, let’s keep the number of planes in the sky to no more than seven (7).

• Feb 12th - Fly ‘n Swap – A day to fly + Swap Meet. Clean out your garages and make room for more birds
• Mar 12th - Scale Planes – Both TPG & TPSSS Fun Fly Day
• Apr 9th – Old School Vintage/ Classic Woodies –Balsa BOT’s, Oly’s, Sagitta’s – whatever is built-up wood
• May 14th – Foamies – Ahi’s, Alula’s, KA-8’s, Radian’s – if it’s foam, this is your day.
• June 4th – Katie Martin International Tribute. A Bob Martin event for mostly Hobie Hawks.
• June 11th - Landing strip contest – closest to the pin; ribbons for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd
• July 9th – Aerobatics Day - TWF/ PNF – Jester’s, Ahi’s, Shrike’s; whatever turns on a dime
• Aug 13th – Fly ‘n Swap Again! – A day to fly + Swap Meet. Clean out your garages and make room for more birds
• Sept 10th – Old School Vintage/ Classic Woodies Again! –Balsa BOT’s, Oly’s, Sagitta’s – whatever is built-up wood
• Oct 22nd – Redman Rules & Landing Contest –. Ribbons for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd
• Nov 26th - No Shopping Saturday – a couple of days after Thanksgiving to get out of the house
