Dale that's a sweet looking Moth. I've been putting off getting a Moth trying to hold out for Uber Moth parts to be available again . . . . .

What's your favorite Weather forecast site and Why?

Greg,
i don't trust any of the local forecasts but the one's I've just looked at predict this 15mph Santa Ana wind at 1am Saturday.. i think I'll stake my bets on when it supposed to switch back west for a while in the afternoon tho I see it will likely only be half that strong from 1 to 3pm..

Yours in slope fortune telling
JimS..

One of the locals at Dave's beach, Mike, is getting out of the hobby. He has an Optic 6, some receivers, a ridge runner, radier, an old Sloper Steve 36 inch Slo Fly, covering and some misc stuff for around $200. He does not want to ship but will meet at Dave's.

PM me for his contact info if you;re interested. Mike does not visit RCgroups.

I'm not a huge bettor on forecasts either, but I'm getting the itch to fly and if I can nab some good wind I'd like to! If it looks decent in the AM my buddy Ed and I will be trying to hit either poway or hodges.

Exaura,

I sent you a PM of Mikes phone number.

The Optic 6 is a few years old the WW are flyable but have been flown so they are not pristine. Mike has a box of partial rolls of covering - I know there is ultracoat in the box. He also had a covering iron.

Mikes been trying to sell what he has the last few months.

Hello Everyone

Hello everyone. I just joined the forum. I recently moved to Carlsbad from L.A. My family and I love it here. It's like a big playground. This lead me to get back into RC soaring after being out of it for more than 10 years. I discovered the bluffs at Palomar Airport road but the was wondering where everyone flies during the Santa Ana's?
