"CSD ME-109 Sheeting" or "How I need new cores"
Okay- I couldn't wait for the San Diego build meetings to start and just HAD to try sheeting my CSD ME-109 wings in a wing press. Surprise! I overpressed them! may have had something to do with how much I tightened the bolts on the press or the 80 some pounds of weight I added to the top board!!
All said and done, the "tips" are basically squished flat and one of the wings has a "nice" bend in it. (that'd be the wing that the first time through didn't get epoxy on one side and went through another cycle- to quote Roberto De Vicenzo*: "What a stupid I am!")
Any suggestions for fixing the blunder, or directions to a new set of cores? The kit was from the PSS fest drawing so I'm not sure where to go for cores in a relatively short period of time? I'd like to be able to work on the plane over the Holidays.
*lost 1968 Masters because of a scorecard mistake = Dumb mistake
