Welcome aboard Fly. Very helpful group here. You'll want to fill out your location on your profile. Lots of help begins with responses like, "Well, I see you're in Anytown. I'm about 5 miles away...". Trust me on this!

Hey FlyBack,

I know the feeling. I joined up about a month ago, but have been lurking and reading posts since summer.

The technical info is great - very honest and reliable, much more accurate than what all those "reviews" that pop up on the many of the online store's web-sites. The ingenuity and skill of all these guys never ceases to amaze me.

The best part about this forum though is that everybody is honest and at the same time mindful of other people's feelings. I don't remember seeing any flames (which are normally abundant on other newsgroups). Here people share their experiences in RC, rejoice in the successes of others, and give you encouragement when things don't turns out all that great.

So far, this has been a very positive and stimulating experience for me, and I hope it'll be the same for you.

Good luck and happy flying!
Doc

I see you live where three of the best manufactures live.
I have their planes and they are great.

I'm not sure if your last post was meant for me, dstout, or eBird, but I live in NJ, across the river from Manhattan...

Which manufacturers are you referring to? Which planes do you have/fly?

Hello flyback. I also have been reading this list without saying much. Didn't think of it as "lurking". I have been building/flying since I was a kid and I never saw a nicer group than here. Many modelers willing to share knowledge and experience. I am learning a lot by being a good audience. Here's to smooth takeoffs and easy landings.

Nice shot, Dreamer. Gives me an idea for a photo challenge, lowest inverted picture. Looks like you're only a couple of feet off the deck there, so you got a great start! Need a faster shutter speed though, to clear things up.

FlyBack: Welcome to the Ezone! Glad to see another Hoosier here. Seems mostare from the north side, though... I'm from the north side, that's why I live on the south side, now

Hopefully, we can get a nice weekend again, soon, and all get together at 106th and Cumberland, again. Always nice to get a bunch of guys together, showing off the new stuff they are up to.

Again, welcome aboard!

If your north of Indy and donít mind the drive come to Fort Wayne Wednesday night. The Golf Dome on the south west side is having an indoor fly from 8-11. Always a good time!
