Can't say I haven't done that ... usually I don't notice that the green LED is no longer "on" meaning it's time to charge the AAs inside

Appreciate the info, Ross, and I just placed an eBay order with you.

On a separate note, I was surprised to find an envelope postmarked Hiroshima, Japan in my mailbox today. Enclosed was a nice thank you letter from Hirobo, some decals and a Quark SG (well actually just the brochure! ). Overall, a nice response for simply sending in my registration card.

For $750 I think this would be the least they could do..

Just to clarify, this was for registering my SRB. Now the SG is a different matter entirely. Given the $750 asking price, they should also provide a complimentary Geisha girl! LOL

The more I fly it....

...the more I LOVE this little heli. It flies SO GOOD. Got two flights in tonight and man this thing is a blast. Nicked off half of the tail rotor on a not-so-good landing. Took it to the workshop and glued it with a little CA. HIt it with some kicker and was flying again in about a minute. Who does that?! Repair the tail rotor on a heli while it's powered on with some CA and then fly some more?! This thing is the cat's meow.

OK, time to put some stickers on it.

It's quite interesting that foam blades don't require foam-safe CA. Regular CA works better. I use foam safe CA to attach CF spars to the back side of the blades for strength and rigidity. If I break a blade, the CF spar will seperate from the blade, because of the foam-safe CA. I just clean it up a little and reuse it.

Sure. The Quark is not fussy about batteries.

I just ordered a Hyperion 2s 450 mAh 25C battery for the Quark. I'll have to use Velcro from now on as the new battery is too thick to fit in the tray. A small price to pay for more punch and a spare battery.

small electrics r BIG FUN
I'm looking at the tail shaft with two bearings upgrade from YRBUY.com . Does this require any special instructions or extras to install ?

I had the tail shaft apart on my SRB a year ago because the pinion gear came loose on the shaft. It was an easy procedure and repair.

It's a drop-in.
