Hey, free shipping! What a deal. I'd like to try to explain that on the credit card, to my wife.

I really like the wide stance of the LG. I have ordered 2 more LG kits, but will take more care when I assemble these sets, now that I know what I am doing!

Thanks and regards,

John I uploaded the video to You Tube, here is it just in case you missed it.

I just learned tonight that you can fix broken blades, but not bent blades (where they get a stress crease in them and tilt upward). These blades still fly but don't provide enough lift, my head speed with them (based on LED RPM indication) is too low even at maximum blade pitch. Oh well, guess I'll throw them away.

I flew last night outside in the dark, what an awesome way to fly!
Does anyone know where this kit can be purchased, or something comparable?

Spread a little epoxy around the crease to reinforce it so it can't bend. About 3/16" on each side. Or use a piece of foam from a blade you were going to throw away to cover the crease.

There's nothing special about that light kit. You can find them for the Lama V4, CX2 or MCX a lot cheaper. I have a second Quark flybar I was trying to adapt LEDs to with a watch battery in the middle and lights at both ends. It works pretty cool, but needs some refinement.

Their support is outstanding and they will fix your heli at very mimimal cost. I wonder if I could talk my brother-in-law into buying the Hirobo 430GS?

it is somehow comforting to see hirobo makes $10k helicopters and lots of others including CP heli's. Means they damn well know what they are doing. Not a one-trick pony.

It would be even more comforting if I could afford to buy them.

If I had $10k to spend on a hobby it wouldn't be an RC helicopter. Maybe real heli lessons. I have my private pilot license. Perhaps I'd get back into flying fixed wings. Stopped doing that when I was 22 because I ran out of money. With $10k I could rent a cessna 172 for 100 hours at $100/hour. That would be about 2 years of flying for me if I flew an hour a week. Or maybe I'd take the $10k and take my wife on a vacation.

Where would you even fly a 6' rotor heli. Would have to be a lot of preparation. And could you imagine the fear of a crash?! That's an expensive crash. Only a handful of super rich people could afford to crash that.
