FJ, yes the vertical stab is in to insure prop clearance larger than a 6x4, actually the motor I plan to use a 7x4 is recommended....plenty of room, also the motor will be flush mounted and not stick mounted ...less wt to balance etc.

J, yes less drag but I will drill several holes to get some air in. But I can't wait for yours..... I plan on doing Beanies MIG next. I was LMAO on " What's a DAF" If you ask my wife she say "That nut over there!"

I like the idea of having the vertical stab in a bit. Did you move the horizontal stab in too?

FJ, I probably did as well..maybe 1/4-3/8 ...I think I probably can swing 10" This gives you a lot of flexibility on motor choices depending how the wt/balance comes out. I'm not a purist, I rather have a good flying plane.

I don't think he exactly knew what to make of it. Either a compliment of slap in the face. He does now though and took it well. Sound like our wives think alike.

DAF - it's tough to see the pics. Nonetheless the plane looks awesome, and glad it flew fine too.

I'm going to officially start my build tomorrow. Just tracing the template onto the foam then hopefully get the fuse jig sawed out by this week. I gutted one of my parkflyers so I have all the electronics (-motor) ready to go, but still thats a long time. I originally wanted to do retracts but drop tanks would be nice too.
