LSSPJ = LittleScreamer Super Parkjet Motor

Grayson Hobbies has similar motors, one of which I'll be using in this plane when I finally get to it.

Yep, That's it!

The Super Parkjet is kinda much and needs to be put on a BAE Hawk or somethin' like that. The Regular ParkJet works great and with a TP1320 gives about 10min flight time.

Isn't a 7x5 prop a bit much for the LSPJ? I have a 1500kv LSPP (Purple Peril) in mine and it runs great. Seems like 2800kv is way too high for a 7" prop. Are you running a smaller prop? 6x5 maybe?

I'll be using a 6X5.5 on my LSPJ's. I'm at 1800' ASL and need that extra little pitch.

Had to run out in the shop and look. Runnin' a 6x4 on one of them and a 5.5x6.5 on the other F-14.
Think I had a 4.5x4.1 on the Super ParkJet w/4-cell....way too much!

The very first motor I ran on the F-14 was a 400XT w/7x5.5 prop and this seemed to be the best all around combo. Have two of them sittin' here and may have to just put one back on.

What with all the low cost alternatives lately.

Never was a LS fan.
The "attitude" at two Puyallup shows kinda turned me off.
Add that to the running gun battles in motor forums and, well,
I just never was interested regardless of the supposed latest improvements.

See !, when I do remember stuff I remember it GOOD !

Maiden flight two days ago. First 7 min went OK. Then attempted to sweep the wings forward flying low over the desert. The motor went dead and I pulled into a stall -- oops, nose first into the ground. Repaired the minor damage to the first three inches of the nose and the lower fuselage where the battery chose to keep moving on impact.

Day two, nice easy flights. I reenacted the previous day’s problem at a higher attitude. The problem is that if the battery is getting a bit on the low side, the servo power for the forward wing sweep drops the battery voltage enough for the esc to kill the power to the motor and it needs to be reset with the throttle stick. Too much if flying close to the ground.

On low battery voltage I now pull vertical, cut the motor, sweep the wings forward, then give it power again - no more problems.

Maybz, thanks for the flight tip, wouldn't have thought of trying the elevator maneuver on this jet but it works great - nice parachute with little wing rock.

I'm using the LSPP with a TP1320. I prefer more speed. Have a LSPJ in an alley cat I'll pull and try next.

Scott, how does the DM 2210-1700 compare to the LSPP? Would like to try the DM2210-2200 - please advise when one is available, thanks.

Hi everyone,

just a quick maiden report. I maiden my F14 a couple of weeks ago but had no time to post.

I'm using the LS Purple Perill, lipo 1300mAh, had it hand launched by a friend, and it just went straigt like an arrow, a litle climbing and triming, and the fun started.

As said before, rolls with swept wings, are a blink, but the thig that amazed me most, is how easely it does the harrier, open wing, almost full elevator, and let it do it alone, amazing!!

Did a couple of flights to the amazement of everyone in the field, on the first flight, people thought, "oh, nice foamie you got there" or "mmm, not bad for a depron thingy"; but as wings started to swept back and forth, man that was fun!!
