I am faithfully following this thread and am wondering how much money you guys are investing in this 1000mm Quad.
The board alone is $400 now with the newest electronics.
That plus $129 for a Futaba Transmitter 6EXP now we are at $529 before the esc and motors and battery plus all the metal and plastic parts.
If it would work with my DX6 I would buy one now but I have to consider if I want or need another transmitter.
Lets see...........I just got my income tax refund back and my wife is off to Virginia visiting our grandkids............
I better sleep on it.
I did purchase the Y-UFO which is brushless and does work with my DX6 so I do have another toy to play with for a while.
Yes, no, yes, no....
Is this really the most fun?

Thank you for the help.
I see you must be using some computer software to talk to the board?
I didn't realize that there was so much to these Quads.
I was thinking after reading Mike's threads that you only had to wire it up following his guidlines and that was that.
Lots to learn and so little time.

I do understand the code. I meant the code to talk with the brains of the Quad, that board.
I have been coding, morse, since I was 16.
I am now mid 60s so yes I do understand that code.
I was WA6ERY in my teens and now after the military I got back into it and now am KE6IDM

Hi John,

Vic is confusing things posting about the UAVP quad in this thead. (I also built a UAVP quad but it is not as much of a "turn-key" quad as the quad discussed in this thread). You do not need to do any programming of the quad "brain" used in the Kquad. Just plug and go.

To answer your question, assuming you have no R/C equipment, batteries or charger, it will probably be around $800 dollars. If you already have batteries, charger, transmitter, etc. it will be closer to $550. Those are appoximate numbers but should be fairly close.

Is it worth it? I can almost guarantee it will be one of the most satisfying experiences you can have for that much money.

OK Thank you Old Man Mike. I didn't understand how suddenly there was a software program interfacing with the board.
I wasn't paying the attention I should have.
I guess I might as well start on this Quad as I do need more toys and after all while the wife's away the mice will play.
Thanks for clearing it up for me.

PS Are you playing with Moon bounce with those antennas?

Sorry, disregard my post. I assumed the quad was the quad from UAVP.
