Methinks you will need more power! I'm thinking the new paint job will add some weight

sorry to hear

sooroy Matt to read and to see this crash. It seems for me that the lifespan of our planes is by nature limited. I had weeks before the same accident...Repaired and back to air and immediality a Rx failore...Now i am repairing agaaaaain.

The Banana shops tells the list price for Corsair is 450 US$!! I would not buy in a shop who is using such marketing gimmicks....

I wasn't sure what you meant so I went and looked for myself. Now I see what you're talking about. They show the "Retail" as $450 and "Their Price" as $199.

Yeah... I guess if they honestly showed you that their retail purchase was something like $60, they'd never sell a single unit.
My buddy purchased a bunch of those Honey Bee helicopters from Esky a while back and hen I saw how little he paid for the lot direct from the manufacturer... well let's just say they didn't pay $450 for one. Now maybe for 6 of them!...

The "retail" price usually refers to the Manufacturers Suggested Retail price. Not the wholesale cost of the item. That said, I'm not sure if this is the max MSRP Arttech put on the plane or inflated by the vendor.

Yeah I got it backwards. But even still, I don't think Art Tech would have a suggest retail of $450 for the Corsair....

Sussex model centre / galaxy models are some of the best model shops in England as well as others (robotbirds ect.) but you have to shop around to get the BEST deals

Roll Call

I'm curious who on here still has their ArtTech Corsairs flying. And also what power system are you using? Here's what I know

Matt Halton - Mega 16/15/4 w Cobri GB (down for new paint job )
Fly Time - Himax 2025-4200 w Cobri GB 5.8:1 (going strong)
Merlin V16 - stock powerplant, custom paint, rotating retracts and flaps
Hypoxic - Mega 16/15/4 w/ Cobri GB (re-maiden soon)
1airborne - 450/A123x4
Bigbuck - stock motor, 2200mAh battery
Sammy70 - stock (Himax 2025-4200 coming soon)
iceman3 - stock
Ta152 - sold his I think
Mysti's - MIA
Warloc - Himax 2816 - too fast, catestrophic in-flight structural failure
pa5ca - ???
Lobo - ???

I know I'm forgetting some, especially if you haven't been real active here in awhile.

Mine is still stock at this point. I've been having too much fun with EDFs to get the Himax/Cobri setup put in. Put when I do, it will be a Himax2025-4200, Cobri box with a ratio yet to be determined (Flytime keeps changing his/my mind!). Speaking of this setup--about how many amps will it pull? I assume the stock esc will have to go?
