Show off your KF Aircraft

I would love to see the wide variety of planes and jets that have been built using the KF airfoil.

I think it would also be a great way to pay tribute to Dick Kline and Floyd Fogleman for the invention of their novel airfoil and the positive impact it has had on RC aircraft.

I'm sure Dick and Floyd will be thrilled to see all of your "KF" planes too!

I'll play, but can't take any credit. Tony65x55 has done some incredible designs around the KFm. Here are my two favorites:

The first is the 46.5" Piper PA-36 Pawnee Brave with KFm2/wingcaps. 16oz AUW and a gorgeous silky-smooth flyer.

The second is the 60" Blu-Baby AP1 with Tony's 2-step KFm3. Primary step height is 10% cord at 50%. Second step height is 5% cord at 75%. 25oz AUW and an ultra-stable, workhorse AP platform. I've personnally lifted an 18oz payload with this plane . Amazing.

The third pic is Tony's Pawnee again, scaled up to a 70" wingspan and fitted with a KFm3. 35oz AUW.

EDIT: I've had a couple of questions regarding the KFm3 airfoil so I posted a couple more close-up pics. The wing has a 10" cord. The first step is 1" total height (a 1/2" thick, full-length spruce spar plus the upper and lower foam thicknesses) and terminates at 50% cord. The second step is 5/8" total height (a 1/8" foam spacer plus the upper and ower foam thicknesses) and terminates at 75% cord.

Here is mine. I was amazed at how low drag this one was. Very good energy retention, speed and glide.

There have been many others but, these I have pictures of. Both flew demonically well, even on GWS 350C power.

Paper model is ORIGNAL Super Hawk from years past.

Dickeroo (R Kline),

Donít know (read >remember<) if I mentioned here on RCG;
Over the years, my (mostly yours from this book) paper planes have flown from hotel windows around the world. Guess, maybe, several hundred thousand air miles on this book since 1986 ? 87.

Of course built all the paper models, SH always my favorite!

Thanks again.

Pawnee PA36

Here us another Tony65x55 designed Pawnee PA36. WS is 46" and the motor is a 2410-09 from Heads Up RC. Flys great and is a great aileron trainer. Ailerons failed on the third flight due to missing servo horn screw and I was able to save it rudder only. Bob
