What is EPO Foam?

Have an electric glider called the Hawk. The documentation says it is made of EPO foam. What is EPO foam?

I know EPS, EPP and Elapor.

This foam seems similar to but not the same as Elapor.

Anyone know?

Expanded PolyOlefin. Don't know much about it other than there was a good thread on the topic:

While not being exactly sure, from what I gather, it's the same stuff they spray on exposed beams and such as a flame retardent in new construction.

EPO foam sailplanes

I have a mutiplex easy glider, it is made of epo foam I have flown it at the slope in light wind and up to 25 mph winds. I have landed it hard, cartwheeled it and doinked it, it takes a licking and dosen't even wimmer. It is one heck af a plane, it dosen't look like much on the ground but in the air it is very nice looking and flying. I get comments from other pilots all the time, even the parakiters have come and talked with me about it. If you want a good flying beater get one. If there were more types of sailplanes in EPO I'd buy them, a jart would be great,a sagitta, a discuc, a P-38.
