LED lights for R22`

Hi

I got my new LEDs from DimensionEngineering.

I notice that the 4 in 1 has no servo male pins in what looks like extra channels.

Has anyone soldered to the pin-less servo holes on the pc?

Dare I do it?

hi,
i read in the german forum (sorry cant find the thread) that the two extra channels carry the same signals like the others, BUT you can only activate them with a 6-channel TX.
i recommend to take the power for the lights from the balancer plug. it is simple and useful!

THe LED circuit I have will default to ON when no transmitter signal is received so not having a 6 channel is OK.

You mention a balancer plug. can you describe it and where it is located?

thanks

hi sweatyfingers,

if there is power on the unused servo connections then it will be no problem for you to solder your lights to the 4-1. sorry i did not know that (but you cant switch it on or off then - better use the balanger plug!)
the balance plug i mentioned is the balancer plug of the lipo! look, i use a selfmade plug to connect my selfmade light there:

(the 4. picture shows the plug etc...)
regards
klaus

btw: i just looked the lights you bought on the website... for me, this is a total rip-off, 15$ for two LEDS and some wire and plug ???
white LEDs are about 50pence... the whole lightarrangement in my robins (you can see on the video in the above mentioned post) did cost me under 5 $....

thanks i will check out what you have done. I can use my Lipos balance plug for + and _ wires on the LED pc, the signal wire need not be attached as the on board chip allows the LED to default to ON.
