I like the Gopro2 better, its like I am looking through clear glass versus tinted glass on the 3.

Unless you get black thats a totally different story

Ok I now know what that airfeild with all the antenna's is. and it has a pretty cool history to its past . It belongs o the coast guard and its still in use today that explains some of the signal issues we have experienced..

That isn't very far from 3O at all! If it's still in use we are required to let them know when we are flying per the AMA. As the crow flies it is only 1.69 miles from 3O.

Break

Measured my furthest FPV flight to date at only .69 miles.

I think the station for radio is still in use but the airfield is not. .69miles on standard 2.4 is actually pretty decent, 2.5 with my DARPA bird and my radian, the radian was from grassfield to the steel bridge.

Forcast is calling for 59 and mostly sunny for Sat. Who is coming out?

Should have my new tripod/FPV base station up and running. No more holding my monitor!

Started working on a home brew FPV ground station tonight. Idea is to have it mounted to my new tripod and be able to swivel it until the diversity setup is done.

The right 3.5 mm video connector still eludes me. I have to keep it pulled out to get picture and sound. Searching the Internet didn't yield a answer and taking the TV apart revealed the 3.5 input hard mounted to the mother board. Not willing to chance screwing that up.

It does but it's the same problem. I have to have the connector pulled out a bit to get video.

I'll probably come out saturday, should have my new props on my X8 and have it flying good. Also got my Typhoon flying again, re-uploaded flight software and everything was up and running again.
