Just received this from the AMA. Seeing as there was some discussion two weeks ago I figured I'd post it so everyone can have the links.

A new NOTAM/TFR has been issued for the area surrounding Virginia Beach, VA for Thursday, 9/27 from 10:30a until 1:30p EDT. The TFR is issued for security purposes to cover VIP movement in this area. Outdoor radio control model aircraft operations are prohibited within the 30nm circle for the specific times listed below. Control Line and Free Flight modelers should use discretion and follow the directions of local law enforcement and government officials when operating within the 11nm inner circle. Please note that TFRs are subject to change with very short notice. Check back often for the most current NOTAM/TFR information.

I like those motor and props. You comming flying on Saturday, I'll be going to 3O on Saturday with my quad, X8 with new landing gear and gimble, and my radian to test out the new prop I put on it should give me enough pull to put that bird to 2K in under a minuet.

The official ribbon cutting reopening Fentress field is scheduled for 16 Oct. I heard rumor they are making a big deal about this because it's the first runway project to be completed on-time and below budget in quite a while.

Looking at the model rocket guys website it says their first launch should be the 20th so I hope the RC guys are also welcomed back.

I hope you guys come out to take a look and fly if you haven't before. Fentress is a huge field without the worry of Peewee football and complaints of noise when flying EDF's.
