I squeezed a Park 370 in there, with a Thunderbird 18 ESC. I run it on an evo 25 3s 2100mAh Battery. It flys pretty fast and goes 15-20 minutes if I don't push it too hard.

Great pictures guy's, love the Wildcat John. BTW John, I've just had a look at the wildcat i've order from my LHS and it seems as if you need to remove the cowl before you can remove the hatch, the battery and/or the wing. Am I correct?

Stuart.

I haven't measured it but the impression at WOT is very very fast. If I hand launch with anything more than half throttle it does crazy things until I get flight control authority. Once its in the air it will quickly fly out of sight and will climb until I can barely see it. However its slow speed characteristics are just fine, it will do a slow speed pass just as easily as a high speed one. When landing it will slow down enough to just gently plop on the runway and slide a couple feet.

The hatch comes off first. It tucks under the cowl and then slides back on a peg . Everything is accessible from the hatch, you won't have to remove the cowl at all. And you can remove the wing without removing the cowl. Two things to note: 1. The Cowl is very fragile and I wouldn't remove it unless really necessary. 2. The hatch has been my only problem with the Wild Cat. It has a tendency to let the hatch slip forward and pop up in flight. Some sort of Magnet or Velcro setup could be used to fix the problem, for now I put a piece of clear tape on the back of the canopy and it seems to hold it in flight and is easily peeled off when I finish flying.

Here you go: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=723748 Start reading around page 40 or so. Sadly a lot of the discussion is: "my motor is better than your motor" blah, blah blah... I've posted some pics of the mods I've done. Such as making the wing removeable. Over all it's a nice plane and has the probably best decals Alfa has produced. They settle very well to the panel lines with some Micro Set/Sol.

What prop are you running? I use a 370 and an APCE 8X4. With a 1320 3 cell...and just putting(read as: really pushing it sloooow) I can get 20+ min flights.

I'm running an APC 9x6

Where do you get the Micro Set/Sol and is it easy to use? My Decals are shredding and peeling cause of my lousy application...
