6 Feet!! INDOOR A-10 Warthog - Video Added

Hey, guys!

Here is my latest addition to the fleet. It is a 6 feet wingspan Bluecore A-10 that flies indoors!! The flying weight is right at 4 lbs. but it is amazing at how slow it flies.

It is powered by two 1320 3 cell batteries and two Hyperion 2205-34 outrunners swinging GWS 7x3.5 HD props controlled by two CC Phx 10.

Hextronic Hxt500 servos are used to controll theaileron, elevator, and nose gear. Two Cirrus 4.4 servos are used to control the rudders. Due to the number of servos I needed to run a BEC so I used Castles new 10 amp BEC and it works perfect.

Video is up, check post #11 for the link.

Hope y'all enjoy,
Reegan

Plans

Man that looks great. I always wanted an A10 but just have not gotten around to it yet.

Any chance you can provide plans, tight pics of landing gear etc?

I build alot with bluecor and would love to add this to my winter project list. Would love to show up at the field in the spring with that in tow,

By the way how much wind does she handle? I fly outside 100% so do i need to wait for the no wind at all days or can I put her up in 8-10 winds?

I saw this plane fly indoors yesterday, it was amazing. What is even more amazing is Reegan did the design/build in one week!

I heard that Gary flew it twice yesterday. I saw video of him flying figure eights with it! That was impressive.

P.S. I get credit for allowing my dining room to be a mess for that week! I took a picture to prove it!

Glad you like it guys!

I really don't have any way to scan in and post plans. I have tried to scan in plans before, but for some reason they always come out oddly sized. I just took 3 view drawings of the net, enlarged, tilled them, and then just had at it. LOL!

FirstShirt, yep, it flies inside. I can't wait to get the video up to show y'all how slow that it really flies. Here is a link to our event thread and it has pictures of our flying site. : https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=621402

Video will be up tomorrow night after I get a video transfer cord.

Thanks,
Reegan

Wish you were near here, I would love to see it fly in person.

Reegan,

Awesome airplane!

With the undercambered wing profile, I can see why it flys so well at slow speed, even at that weight.

I see that you have some still photos from flying outside, too. How does it handle breeze/wind?
