What motor atr you using? I use 8x1400AE from a zagi or 8X1600 RS. I tried an 8X500A from my ZAGI but CG was way back and I dont like to add dead weight. I need almost 3 oz's to bal with the small packs.
running 5.5 X 4.5 MA.

I've sold a bunch of the Panasonic 2000's to guys with Pico Jets. They are the same size as the 1250NiCd cells.

Also, I just received a bunch of new Sanyo CP-1300SCR cells. The are the same weight as 800AR NiCd cells, but 1300mah. They are the same diameter as regular SubC cells, but shorter. I put a pack in my Razor, but haven't had a chance to try it.

See www.magtechinc.net for more info.

I use 7x900 Sanyo nicads (4/5 AA), not sure if these are still available? I set the flight timer for 9 mins, which is good enough for me! Standard 6v S400 motor.
