Mark sounds like fun. After being to the field early in the year for the MWE I can picture that whole flight. Good to hear your having fun with it, lol. Get that bird fixed up.

Sounds like you had fun.

Any ideas on why the loss of control?

Are you running a separate battery and BEC for the Rx?
Seems as though Winghead had a similar incident where he was performing a WOT dive, cut power and then it wouldn't pull up. From what I heard, it almost sounded as though his 2.4 gig rx rebooted... Just curious. I do not believe he was using a separate battery and BEC for the RX.

I know better than to rely on the onbboard BEC on this thing...especially on 4s. I'm using a 2s 800mah lipo to a hyperion BEC. The trouble was a known "Area 51" at our field. It's about 2-300 yds out at the NE quadrant. Most folk will go high on final and drop right in. I forgot and fortunately was already in a simple glide when it caught me. No structural damage after all...just the covering split in the prop cut and a couple of minor wrinkles that mostly ironed out.

Went to a small Fun-Fly in El Centro today. BIG gassers in attendance but guess what many folk wanted to see fly time and again? Kinda felt out the area on the first run but let 'er rip on the successive flights going WOT the entire flight. One pass was right down the middle about 5' off the deck and I almost forgot about the barbed wire fence at the end of the runway. That woulda been ugly. Lots of folk wanted to see the TL50 after each run.
"Dude! That's one helluva fast Zagi."

It's a RiteWing, amigo.
