Sky Bench Aerotech Sky Bird anyone?

I noticed the Sky Bird on the Sky Bench web site.

Is it available?

How doe's it fly?

How much?

In most cases, performance is limited more by the building, adjusting and flying skills of the pilot than by the design of the plane. I expect this to be especially true of the Sky Bird. It's kind of like a musical instrument that needs to be tuned and played with skill. The Sky Bird is like a high quality musical instrument.

So what's the story on the Sky Bird? I've been waiting for a couple years now.

Sky Bird

I just went to the Skybench site and it appears that they are available. $298 + shipping for fg fuse and 238 + shipping for a wood fuse. Order one and let us know how it is. I've never seen any complaints posted about Ray's kits. I saw a Challenger from one of his kits and the qualiyt was SUPERB!! Go to the Bird Series portion of the site and go to the bottom of the thread. It's there with pricing....

Right you are!! I just checked a couple weeks ago and it still said e-mail to be notified, etc.

But problem is now I have two Minimoa kits on the board right now and my larger Minimoa is 13' span same as the SkyBird. When these get done then I'll look at the SkyBird again.
