I am sorry about mis-spelling your name Tomhe, I just got the disc a few days ago for the video, not the greatest but still shows that your design flies, and very well too...

New Mig-29 taking shape, for some reason it came out with a 30" wingspan. Airframe weight is 5.5oz using foam board with the paper on. I think I will leave the bottom off to save some weight.

Cool design Tomhe thanks for posting the plans!

My best guess is you might have printed the letter-size tiles (8x10.5) with something like "Fit To Page" turned "On", making the tiles larger than their actual size, e.g., WS = 28.3 x 8.5 / 8.0 = 30.07 inches. If you've used the recommended thicknesses of materials, you should see no discernable differences in performance.

Cheers,
Bill Segraves

Nice flying! Are you flying yours with a tailerons-only setup?

Nice flying, now I have to go empty some batteries as it has warmed a little- about 26f/-6c.

Updated plans (revision 3)

Here are the revision 3 plans. I've removed the bad line from the rev. 2 plans and processed the output with Bill's ScaleAndTile2.

The tiled plans should be printed centered at 100 %.

Thanks Tomhe, I printed out the letter PDF and everything came out just fine with a 28.5" wingspan this time! I will build that one after I wreck the current 30" model. My 30" Mig is ready to go when my new motor gets here. I ordered another 2408-21 so I can leave the other in my F22.

marchino65: that flies really nicely - lovely and smooth!

Mine is rather twitchy, and I'm not sure if it's because I've got massive control throws or the CG far enough back to fly inverted with no trim.

I've got about 50% expo at the moment, maybe I need even more?
