Guillow's Aeronca Champ

I am well aware of this model as-designed being seriously overweight - - - but does the design itself warrant serious kitbashing so as to wind up with an r/c airplane? I've owned the kit for twenty years, its cost base is zero as I see it. I don't have to worry about wasting my money, that was done a long time ago.

The conversation earlier this week about its somewhat small cousin got me to wondering.

Thanks, everybody.

Peter,

I can be made into a good flying plane. This took me a while to make. Look for my after the build thread titled "A Champion of Success."

Try an enlarge version! I did! I'm in the middle of the build now.

Spec's: 50" wing span, FFF Blue core formers and ribs, balsa stringers on fuse,
balsa LE,TE and stringers on wing. 20 lb printing paper for covering.

Light and easy to work with.
