Hi,

Just to update, I got delivery of some new Futaba 8FG radios and I took one apart to install the universal module inside the unit and connecting it to the inside of the trainer port on the pcb that holds the SD card. 5 V power is available there as well and it works ok. Will do a range test in the next days and revert. At moment there is both the stock 2.4 Ghz and the XPS system working in the same radio. The stock 2.4 Ghz can be turned off in software and the XPS can be turned on via a small switch which connects the power.

Jim, do you think it is an impossible task to break the 12Z -14MZ module? I really, really want to use my 12Z with XPS.

No I do not want to use the universal module. I like to teach while using the 12Z. I need the training port open for a wireless training system.

I just hope that Futaba didn't encrypt this so well that there will never be a module for direct connection.

I am actually looking at the 14MZ again right now. I have some really nice I2C and SPI decoder firmware to analyze the data. Alos, our new hardware is much smaller, so we can make a module that fits inside of the original size case.

I have 2 of those and a futaba 3PK all on the same futaba 9C XPS module. I love the versatility of JD's products.

Don't get me too excited about my 12Z. I know it will take some time but as long as there is hope.

Not directly with a plug-in module, but you can use our Universal Module with a connection to the trainer port.

The MX-16 manual is available for download from the page that has the info on the MX-16 (linked to by the online store). You could also use one of many different modules with many transmitters.

Sanwa (Airtronics) Compatibility

Jim.

I own a Sanwa M8 RemoteControl System with a 40Mhz transmitter module. I think this system is 100% compatible withe the Airtronics M8 in the States.
1. Can i use the XPS 2.4GHz M8/M11 module here in germany
2. What is the impact of the integrated antenna in correlation to the modules with external antennas. Is there a loss in range?

Short answer would be great.

Roland
