I need a bigger Hanger!

Maybe you could remove the motor box from the firewall and use the stock T-28 plastic mount with the PZ motor to get the right fit. Here is a pic of the stock PZ 480 motor on the T-28 mount. It is the one on the right.

Just got back from my maiden... I gotta say... I have a new favorite plane. flies nice, lands nice, plenty aerobatic for my skill level.. and I just love the looks. I don't know why I held off for so long getting this plane, I've had my eye on it since January at least.

I do have a twist in the wing I think.. I had to dial in a fair amount of right aileron trim. It flies straight now but the ailerons are NOT neutral. I'll try to find someone at the club who might have an incidence meter, and some building experience, who can help me straighten it out.

Is there much room for a bigger battery than a 2100 3s lipo.

Why would you want to use a larger battery?

Two reasons I have 4 3300 mah packs that I don't have any plane for and I would love to be able to use some of my 4s a123 packs. But they are larger and heavier.

I used an Xcite 2200 for my maiden.. While there is PLENTY of room inside the airframe the battery hatch is a little tight.. at least for my big hands.

I have an Eflite 3200 and there's no way it would fit through the hatch.

Hope that helps.

Jaybird,

Would it be possible to post photos and dimensions of your floats? They look and work great!

How wide are they at the step? What is the height of the transoms? Are they covered, painted or left bare?

Found the photos here: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...7#post10347874 Post #7

Regards,

Brian

I just received mine from here: RCHover.com They had 9 left last I checked.

I also ordered a set of 24" floats from Seaplane Supply, they've already arrived as well. This will be my first float plane, can't wait to get started!

Hi Planekrazee,

I received your PM and meant to get back to you, but I've just picked up the new Hanger 9 Fokker DVII and was digging into it until late last night. I see you found the thread with pictures. The floats were made by a company called FoamFloats.com, but they have gone out of business. I'll take measurements and pictures this weekend. It does make a great little float plane. I sealed the balsa in the nose section with urethane paint and made a rear facing scoop for the vent hole at the back.

I use them on mine and they work great! Slow it down to a crawl with no adverse affects!

They're down to eight now, as I just ordered one. Thanks for the heads-up.
