Lithium Battery Packs For Ryobi From Home Depot

I just saw an add on TV from Home Depot about their 18v. lithium battery packs for their 18v cordless power tools. I know a lot of people canabalize the Dewalt battery packs for RC. I was curious if anyone knew what is in the Ryobi packs?

I think those are the "Emoli" type cells, hard outer shell lithium, can't run as hard or charge as hard as the famous A123 cell.

Here is a thread: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/show...ghlight=emolis

Hi,

Ryobi are rechargable batter packs from direct dewalt. You can get it from here: http://www.direct-dewalt.co.uk

As said above, these are the Emoli cells made in BC. Same voltage as lipos. Been using them for about a yr. A little heavier but much safer than lipos and can be fast charged.

Gord.
