For my winter project I am planning on a scratch build of the 1937 'Folly' - has anyone built one of these before? I saw it on the Bob Holman Plans site and she looked very different... Thanks!

A buddy of mine built a Folly II. The same design but it used wire cabane struts to switch to a higher mounted wing. It was a nice flyer as a free flight model other than the power pattern. He had made a really nice fitted cowl for it that made it all but impossible to make thrust line changes so the powered portion was "interesting" until he retired it early so he wouldn't get too much grey hair...

Moral of the story is make the cowl AFTER you trim the model...

He flew his with an 049 for our local free flight Texaco event. It doesn't take much to hold them up and it was a nice gliding model.

You'll be going with RC I'm assuming?
