In most photos I have seen the rear section appeared clear.

F-16's seem to have come both ways. I have seen it both ways and here are a few pics. I don't know if it was an option, model change or block change though.

Yes, all my glassing is finished and i'm glad of that - the cloth was really fiddly to handle.

BTW, does the centreline fuel tank come with a pylon ? I have the tank but there was no pylon in the box...

Hi,

No, the pylon is seperate. It comes with the release mechanism and those little scale metal doohickies that tighten the tank down so it doesn't rock around.

Ha!

Those little blind nuts are what come in Yellow Aircraft ARFs! They've been in a couple of kits I've built, too--but I chucked them in favor of the regular ones they sell at the hobby shop! I didn't know they were better?!

oh man...wish i knew that at the time...

well it seems im gonna have to make the pylon myself, along with new AIM9L missiles as the ones sent to me are 1/10 scale and therefore not same scale as the F16 which is 1:9 or 1:8.5 scale. the 1/10 missiles are too short and thin for the F16 missile rails and dont look right.

does anyone know where else i can purchase ordanance for the F16 ?

Did you try www.dod.gov ?

Joke aside - you can get 1:8 missiles for the Skymaster F-16 on the Skymaster website.

And there's a full ordanance kit for the JetLegend 1:8 F-16 available here for one.

She looks very, very nice. Keep it up!

yeah...they maybe slightly large but i dont have much choice. The Jet Legend gear seem to come as a complete set ie ordanance and pylons and the missiles look pretty detailed.

I found the AIM9 missiles sent to me to be very plain as there was no detail at all. The centre line tank had great detail but didn't come with the pylon

Yeah,

With our stuff, you have to order the pylon. The reason is sometimes people want a pylon but not a tank. Other times, they want a tank--but already have a pylon (or, in my case, have to build my own because the stock one is not weight-bearing).

The painting process has started...

Entire fuselage, tailplane and gear doors painted light grey. Hope to start painting the camo this weekend (patches of darker grey)

Gun port needs further drilling out
